亞航長程載客量 第3季增長41%

(吉隆坡27日訊)亞航長程(AirAsia X)第3季載客量按年增長40.7%至64萬人,客座率增長3%至83%,繼續擴充亞太平洋市場。

亞航長程共有12條國際航線,該公司第3季每公里座位(ASK)取得39億令吉,每公里乘客營業額(RPK)32億令吉,客座率增長3%至83%。

亞洲航空(AIRASIA,5099,主要板貿易)在文告中指出,亞航長程首9個月載客量達191萬人,按年增長1.7%。

“雖然首9個月每公里座位和每公里乘客營業額都分別下跌5.3%和2.8%,但客座率則增長4.5%至84%。”

亞航長程第3季載送7251噸的貨物,首9個月貨物載送達1萬9714噸,按年增長13%,貨運業務持續表現強健。

亞航長程總執行長阿茲蘭奧斯曼在文告中指出,亞航長程明年將移至第2吉隆坡國際機場,更好的基礎設施將幫助他們管理更大的交通網絡。

“我們將在2013年至2017年間增加24輛A330-300型客機,亞航長程將在亞太平洋地區進一步擴大(業務)。”

他指出,亞航長程將持續專注在核心市場包括澳洲、中國、台灣、韓國和日本,不斷擴充載客量。[ChinaPress]

亚航X本财年转亏为盈 放眼营收搭客双数增长

(吉隆坡17日讯)亚航X在2012财年下半年转亏为盈,并预计今年和明年的营业额与乘客量,可达双位数增长。

亚航X总执行长阿兹兰奥斯曼在推介亚航X往返吉达(Jeddah)的航线后表示,在停飞了一些亏钱的航线后,公司已转亏为盈。

他说,亚航X会在2013和2014年,分别添加7架飞机,因此,营业额和乘客有望达双位数增长。

亚航X是在去年初宣布,停飞吉隆坡往返巴黎、伦敦、孟买和新德里的航线。

根据媒体报道,亚航X自2007年11月开始营运,在2009年的首次净利达8700万令吉,但在2011年由盈转亏。

亚航X在截至2012年6月30日,净亏达2910万令吉,营业额为9亿4190万令吉。在截至2011年12月31日止财年,亚航X净亏达9670万令吉,营业额达18亿6000万令吉。

出席推介礼的包括亚航X主席丹斯里拉菲达,以及亚洲航空(AirAsia,5099,主板贸服股)总执行长艾琳奥玛。

阿兹兰说,亚航X会在今年推介3条新航线,但不会在中东,将会在目前的核心市场,包括:中国、日本、韩国和澳洲。

等证监会批准IPO

另外,针对亚航X首次公开募股(IPO)计划的进展,阿兹兰说公司已呈交申请,目前正等待证券监督委员会(SC)的批准。

询及新廉航终站(klia2)启用对亚航X的影响,他表示新廉航终站的规模很大,乘客容量比廉价航空终站(LCCT)多,亚航X业务将因此受惠。

“虽然竞争会变大,但亚航X依然是新廉航终站唯一的长途廉价航空。乘客也将会有更多的选择。”

另一方面,询及亚航何时在印度会设立新航空,亚航联合创办人拿督卡马鲁丁说,新航空的诞生将取决于印度监管机构发放执照的速度,其中也涉及法律上的问题。

初步物色印度伙伴

“印度是我们熟悉的地区,我们一直都研究当地的情况,也一直在寻求机会。”

他表示亚航也在当地物色合作伙伴,但一切仍在初步阶段。他说亚航会专注在印度南部市场。

吉隆坡飞往吉达是亚航X第14条航线,将会在2月16日正式启航,每周会有三航班。在5月后增至每周4航班,但会根据季节调整。

Fernandes: Offering 33% of AirAsia X to public ideal

KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia Bhd group chief executive officer Tan Sri Tony Fernandes said he would, ideally, like to offer a larger portion, or 33%, of long-haul low-fare airline AirAsia X shares to the public when it eventually lists.

“I want every one to be able to buy shares. AirAsia is essentially made up of the common man on the street. I always talk to everyone.

“I am one of the few CEOs who goes and meets every single person. The feedback I get is that they can't get shares, but want to be involved in it. So, I would like to do 33%,” Fernandes told StarBiz.

For AirAsia X's flotation, it would be listing about 30% of its shares. So a 33% allocation for the public portion would effectively translate into 10% of the entire paid-up capital.

“The common man flies with us, so should get some reward for flying with us. The problem now is that there is not enough shares in issue. That's why I want to do 33%. It's not much too it's basically like 20,000 people taking 100 shares each,” Fernandes said.

Last year, Malaysia saw the mega listings of Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd and IHH Healthcare Bhd, where people complained about the small number shares offered to the public compared with the total offered for the listing exercises.

In Astro's case, it offered 1.518 billion shares, equivalent to 29.2% of its enlarged capital. Of that, some 83% was allocated to Malaysian and foreign institutional investors and select investors, including bumiputra investors, and cornerstone investors, meaning 17% was allocated for the public offer.

As for IHH, of the combined 2.23 billion shares, 1.39 billion were for cornerstone investors and 498.01 million for local and foreign institutional investors. Retail investors were allocated 349.15 million shares or 15.7% of the listing offer.

In Tune Ins Holdings Bhd's case, which will be listed on Feb 22, some 210 million new shares are up for sale. Some 41.34 million shares or 20% have been allocated for retailer investors.

Typically, where initial public offerings are concerned, investment bankers favour foreign investors and local institutions over the retail investor.

The rationale? The presence of cornerstone investors can better ensure the success of the IPO. Cornerstone investors are longer term in nature and will likely not sell for an extended period of time.

AirAsia X may be listed after elections

UNCLEAR: Listing could be delayed from the original March deadline


THE listing date of AirAsia X, the long-haul affiliate of Asia's largest low-cost carrier AirAsia Bhd, is uncertain now amid rumours that it could be delayed.

AirAsia X chief executive officer Azran Osman-Rani is keeping mum on any new timeline for its initial public offering (IPO).

"Let's see Tune Ins first," Azran said, when contacted by Business Times yesterday to comment on a Wall Street Journal report that the IPO could be delayed because of the coming general elections.

Tune Ins Holdings Bhd, an insurer controlled by AirAsia supremo Tan Sri Tony Fernandes and Datuk Kamarudin Meranun, is set to be listed today with institutional and retail price set at RM1.35 each.

Late last week, the Wall Street Journal quoted two people familiar with the matter as saying that AirAsia X could be delayed because of the elections.

The 13th general election must be held by June this year but it is expected to take place earlier.

Azran did not agree nor deny the report.

He had said at AirAsia X's fifth anniversary celebration late last year that the carrier aims to be listed in the first quarter of 2013 after it gets the nod from the Securities Commission (SC).

The approval was expected to be in the middle of December 2012. AirAsia X had submitted its listing proposal in November.
Based on the draft prospectus on the SC website, the carrier is expected to raise about RM760 million from the sale of some 790 million shares. However, the pricing of the shares was not disclosed.

AirAsia X plans to use proceeds raised from the IPO to repay bank loans and for capital expenditures, which include purchases of equipment and spare parts for aircraft.

Hwang DBS Vickers Research said in a research report on Monday that AirAsia will attract trading interest following the recent report on the possibility of AirAsia X being listed after the election.

Mercury Securities head of research Edmund Tham told Business Times yesterday that investors prefer to stay on the sidelines of the market when the election is around the corner and immediately after it.

"This is the time to be cautious since everyone expects the market to fall. Once the market stabilises, then it would be all right for a company to be listed," he said.

(吉隆坡20日讯)市场传言指亚洲航空(AirAsia,5099,主板贸服股)的长途航空子公司———亚航X也许延迟上市,目前还不确定上市的日期。

对于新上市日期,亚航总执行长阿兹兰奥斯曼保持沉默。

他说:“先看一看Tune保险控股(Tune Inc)的情况再说。”

《商业时报》是针对《华尔街日报》的报告,指我国大选即将来临,或导致亚航X展延上市计划一事,在昨日致电阿兹兰求证。

由丹斯里东尼费南德斯及拿督卡马鲁丁联合掌舵的Tune保险控股,今日在大马交易所主板上市,机构与零售价为每股1.35令吉。

上周,《华尔街日报》引述两名知情人士的报道指,基于全国大选逼近,亚航X可能会延迟挂牌。

第13届大选必须在今年6月份之前举行,但是预计会提早进行。

针对《华尔街日报》的报道,阿兹兰没有认同,但也没有否认。

阿兹兰曾经披露,亚航X在去年欢庆5周年纪念时,放眼在获得证券监督委员会批准后,便于今年首季上市。[南洋商报财经]

(吉隆坡6日訊)基于全國大選在即,亞航長程(Airasia X)認真探討首發股上市時機,將待咨詢投資銀行以決定上市日期,估計可籌獲2億5000萬美元(約7億7625萬令吉)。

亞航長程總執行長阿茲蘭奧斯曼今日接受“彭博電視台”訪談說,目前還未獲得大選確切日期,故還在探討上市日期。

“我們將待咨詢投資銀行,了解這(全國大選)是否會形成影響,或是已經納入考量。”

國會屆滿期為4月28日,首相拿督斯里納吉必須在此日期或更早解散國會,並在60天內舉行大選。

擴大機隊增航線

阿茲蘭奧斯曼指出,是項首發股計劃籌資所得,將用以擴大機隊、增加航班及航線。

“我們11月1日已向證券監督委員會發佈初步招股書,目前計劃重新提呈,以便能將截至去年12月過去6個月的盈利表現,納入其中。”

亞航長程上市個案,是為姐妹公司亞洲航空(AIRASIA,5099,主要板貿易)集團建議的3項首發股計劃的第2個,透過籌資展業務版圖。

他透露,亞航長程也計劃透過發債籌資,預計最快可在次季初成行,融資以增購飛機。

亞航長程旗下共有11架飛機,負責韓國、台灣、中國及日本航線,早前曾計劃以5億美元(約15億5250萬令吉)向國際租賃財務公司,承租6架A330-300空中巴士,以擴大服務範圍。

融资新飞机 亚航X拟首发回债

(吉隆坡12日讯)亚航X计划今年发行首个回教债券,为增购新飞机融资。

彭博社引述亚航X总执行长阿兹兰奥斯曼的话说,最快今年次季将发行总值1亿6000万美元(约4亿9712万令吉)的债券。

他表示将在今年4月作出决定,到时将决定发行回教债券还是非回教债券。亚航X正在探讨所有的融资选项,因为想要得到最好的融资条件。

阿兹兰奥斯曼也透露,筹得款项将用来购买两架新空巴A330s飞机,也是今年赠购7架新飞机计划的部分之一。

“我们可能选择发行令吉回债买新飞机,因为回债相当吸引人,而且在大马发行回债可获得税率优惠。我们也希望把债务组合多元化,目前则以美元为主。”

提及亚航X的上市进展,阿兹兰奥斯曼表示已经委托银行处理,但拒绝透露银行名字

AirAsia X set for June listing: Fernandes

AirAsia X, the long-haul affiliate of AirAsia Bhd, is now ready for a June listing on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia after having deferred its initial listing, planned in the first quarter, says AirAsia Group Chief Executive Tan Sri Tony Fernandes.

He said AirAsia X submitted all listing-related documents, including listing application and prospectus, to the Securities Commission for their approval and was now awaiting a favourable reply.

"This time it is going to happen. We are looking at a June listing,"Fernandes told Bernama, referring to the aborted AirAsia X's initial listing plan.

Through the proposed IPO, AirAsia X is expected to raise about US250million (RM775 million), or 97 sen per share, of which, half would be utilised to repay bank borrowings and 21.5 per cent for capital expenditure.

The medium to long-haul carrier initially targeted a first quarter listing but the plan was later aborted. Fernandes said AirAsia X's listing would be different as the airline wasplanning to diversify and enlarge its shareholding ownership, by giving first priority of share subscription to Malaysians who have flown AirAsia X and contributed to the success of the airline.

一切筹备妥当只欠证监会批准 亚航X冀6月上市

(吉隆坡18日讯)亚航集团首席执行员丹斯里东尼费南德斯说,亚航X是亚洲航空有限公司(AIRASIA,5099,贸易服务组)长途航空业务子公司,现已准备于6月在大马交易所主板上市,最初它计划在第一季上市,但后来由于某些原因推迟了上市日期。

他称,亚航X经已呈上所有有关上市的文件,包括上市申请及招股章程,以供证券事务监察委员会批准,现只等待答复而已。

它指出:“董事局预计2013年是一个兴奋的一年,因为估计在截至2012年12月31日止的建筑、制造和贸易业务的订单总值可能高达16亿令吉。”

就终止亚航X的初次上市计划一事,费南德斯告诉马新社:“今次它将会发生。我们期待在6月上市。”

通过拟议中的首次公开发售新股(IPO),亚航X预计将可筹集约2亿5000万美元(7亿7500万令吉),或每股97仙,其中一半将用于偿还银行贷款,以及21.5%用作资本开支。

费南德斯表示:“亚航X的上市将会与众不同,因我们计划多元化以及扩大其股东拥有权,给予亚航X的大马乘客和对公司成功作出贡献的人士有优先权去认购股票。”

该长途航空集团已委任联昌国际投资银行,作为其主要的IPO顾问,而马银投资银行、联昌集团控股有限公司(CIMB,1023,金融组)以及瑞士信贷(Credit Suisse)则被任命为全球协调人。

当被问及亚航X的潜在双边上市一事,费南德斯称,该航空公司从双边上市所带来的价值是很小的。

不过,他指出,亚航预计东盟证券交易所即将成立,因此现在很多企业在东盟地区中积极扩大区域业务。

至少监管机构必须设立一个东盟指数。但是现在没有这样的指数。

他透露:“在该指数中,监管机构可以找到一篮子的东盟公司,如亚航及联昌集团。”

费南德斯还表示,继亚航X之后,集团将会放眼将印尼业务单位印尼亚航上市。

就有关亚航X会否考虑双边上市的提问,东尼费南德斯认为双边上市可为该航空公司创造的价值有限。

KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia X Bhd expects to add seven more aircraft this year and next year, increasing its feet 18 planes. Currently, it has 11 planes.

"We would add seven more in 2014, and this would more than double our capacity without adding a single new country," said CEO Azran Osman-Rani at the MIDF Luncheon talk on Wednesday.

He said the planes would be the A300-330, with 377 seats configuration.

He said the long-haul carrier would not stretch itself thin again but instead add frequency to the bases the airline had created.
